PPC Account Manager – £20 to £25k
Are you the new PPC Account Manager we’re looking for?
We’re looking for a smart, friendly and passionate individual to join our specialist PPC agency based in Bicester.
Your primary role will be to work with directly with, and on behalf of, our awesome customers whose businesses span a variety different industry sectors including holiday cottages, lifestyle & food researchers and automotive paint repair! This diversity makes for a different experience every day, and is one of the many benefits of working at Digital Gearbox.
Regardless of who your clients are, the key is making sure they end every day feeling valued, supported and well-managed. That they go to bed every night knowing their PPC campaigns kick butt. You’ll be charged with taking their objectives and building an approach to achieve those. This could include creating new campaigns from scratch or editing existing ones if you feel that’s necessary, as well as juggling multiple PPC channels at a time.
Once your campaigns are live, the job is simple: Make sure they continue to do better! You’ll analyse data, optimise campaigns, as well as keeping in touch regularly with your clients to understand what we’re doing to maximise their return on investment.
We provide training to the highest level, all of which is developed and delivered in-house. Although there’s a lot to learn, there’s nothing to fear – help is always on hand. The learning doesn’t stop with your first few months; every single day you’ll be picking up new skills and applying them to your clients.
We’re a small team so you’ll be involved in all areas of the business – networking in the local area; talking to other business owners about Digital Gearbox as well as assisting in the processes of signing new clients, a task that can often involve playing the long game over some months. Of course, as a small marketing business, we are also our own marketing team! You’ll be directly involved in email marketing, social media, blogs and helping in keeping our website up to date (don’t worry – you won’t need to be involved in anything too techy there!).
Hopefully the above has given you a picture of what your day or week could look like here; fast-paced, autonomous and rewarding. We’re looking for enthusiastic people who are comfortable managing their own time, are able to work effectively both independently and as a team, able to effectively prioritise work and recognise problems and opportunities to seek support as necessary.
We don’t need you to have worked in digital marketing before but there are some key requirements. Everyone that works at Digital Gearbox has their own clients which means that strong written and verbal communications are paramount, as well as confidence in dealing with people at a range of different levels, so experience in customer service is a huge advantage and will serve you incredibly well.
You’re going to be optimising your campaigns based on data; so whilst you don’t have to be a maths whizz kid, being comfortable with basic numeracy and spreadsheetery is a necessity. Similarly, logic and reasoning skills are a must if you’re to effectively tackle a potential minefield of problems in a successful way. Finally – passion, ambition and curiosity are all great traits in any candidate as they demonstrate your ability to be a good team-player who will contribute to our ongoing success.
We’re looking for you to be good with all manner of people, and confident with online marketing theory. Direct marketing and/or online marketing experience would be an advantage, too.
What’s In It For You?
First and foremost we will offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme. You will get at least 20 days holiday (on top of all the bank holidays!). We also close for Christmas, so you can enjoy a proper break with your friends and family. In addition we will be rolling out pension schemes from October this year.
As we progress and develop as a company, you will too. There is potential for promotion and for your role to evolve around your aspirations and strengths. We’re committed to ensuring that you’re constantly learning new skills, being challenged whilst also feeling valued and supported. We have fantastic training programmes in place to help you get up to speed with what we do, learn how everything works and pass your Google exams. Within our fast-growing company, there’s plenty of opportunity to develop your skillset and you’ll be encouraged to be curious and share new ideas. We’re really proud of our company values and want all our employees to enjoy coming into work.
We like to think of ourselves as a bit of an anti-agency agency in that we fulfil very few of your typical agency stereotypes. We don’t have a ping pong table, a beer fridge, or a “sleep zone”, but we do have a comfortable and flexible work environment. We’re based in central Bicester where we have many shops and restaurants on our doorstep – fancy a Nando’s lunch? You got it! Got a coffee craving? Costa is on our doorstep. Our friendly and approachable atmosphere coupled with our resident office dog, Nala make Digital Gearbox a forward-thinking, relaxed agency who don’t try too hard to be trendy. Flexi-time and the ability to work from home are central to our culture so you’ll be given a mobile phone and laptop. Most importantly, we value a great work-life balance above all.
“Working for Digital Gearbox has been one of the best experiences of my career.
They gave me all the tools and knowledge I needed to become truly great in an ever-changing industry. This, superb coaching and excellent support from the rest of the team has resulted in me becoming a more confident marketer with a strong and transferable skillset.
Leaving was a very difficult thing to do.”
