Champs Diary: Learning how to better WOW clients at the Infusionsoft ProActive Sales Training Day2 min read

On the 11th of October, Digital Gearbox had the pleasure of attending an Infusionsoft ProActive Sales Training Day, led by Infusionsoft’s Senior Partner Training Specialist Mark Bailey.

One of the privileges Digital Gearbox has through being an Infusionsoft Certified Partner is getting invited to in-depth partner training days. Days such as these enable us to continue to introduce Infusionsoft to our clientèle with confidence and expertise, whilst learning from the shared experience of an experienced community of experts.

It was certainly an educational day! It was terrific to have the chance to meet and chat to other Infusionsoft Certified Partners and independent Infusionsoft consultants about how they have introduced a variety of small businesses to Infusionsoft, and helped them to increase their productivity and profits to exciting new levels.

Mark had some brilliant tips and stories to share about how to best listen to the needs of small businesses to better identify and prioritise the areas where Infusionsoft can make the most impact. If you don’t truly listen to the needs of a business, it’s impossible to really satisfy them by providing them with the best solutions. What’s more, listening enables agencies such as ours to be able to really wow our clients, by allowing us to offer a glimpse at the bigger picture about where we could go together after the current challenges have been dealt with.

The best thing about the day for me was the emphasis on the importance of Infusionsoft Certified Partners building relationships with the small businesses they work with. You would never talk a friend into buying something that they didn’t really want or need as it would harm your relationship; the same rules apply in business. It’s important to understand your clients company, and the wants and needs of the owner before starting work together.

It was invigorating to revel in the demise of old, bad sales techniques and instead view the whole process as the building of a mutually beneficial relationship between a business and its clients. Once again, building trust proved itself to be at the heart of effective relationship building, and the first step on the path to cultivating long, rewarding partnerships, and Infusionsoft success stories!
