Don’t Mention the “O” Word!1 min read

It’s that time of the year when all good marketers are looking at what’s coming up that we can tie our marketing activity into. And 2012 is packed full of opportunities:

  • Golden Jubilee
  • Extra Bank Holidays
  • London 2012

But one of those 3 you really don’t want to mention.

Yep, the Olympics. There are LOTS of restrictions on how you can and can’t use the name, the logos, various phrases and more. So, please please check before you do anything with it. Not least because there are plenty of people scanning what’s happening in order to find those people flouting the rules and fine them – fines are in the tens of thousands – so be careful!

For full details you need to go to the London 2012 website and the main site.

Please please do check before you do anything – there are even restrictions on putting the O-word in meta tags.
