Google just released the long anticipated over hauled ad exchange its owned since it acquired DoubleClick in April 2007 for $3.1 billion.
It’s the latest development in the ongoing emergence of the ad echange industry. Giving advertisers huge power over where their ads are displayed. Blocking sites that don’t fit, or pages that don’t perform.
With their suite of ad exchange networks (Double Click, You Tube, the Content Network on adwords) Google are well placed to understand this emerging market place. And it’s one we’re going to hear a lot about in the coming months.
