Google announced this week the addition of Adwords Sitelinks, a new way to offer searchers a more accurate way of answering their search query. Adwords Sitelinks offer the ablility to have 4 additional links on your PPC Ads that will appear underneath the Adcopy. These links can each have different destination urls, offering the searcher a more accurate way of finding the information they need. The image below shows how Sitelinks will look:
At first Sitelinks will only be available to advertisers that meet Googles “high-quality” threshold, which seems a rather vague statement. It also seems that it may only be available in the US at present and I also presume that this option may only be available for those Ads that appear in position 1 on the SERPs page above the natural results. If your accounts qualify for Sitelinks, you’ll find an option in your campaign settings tab enabling you to add in the Sitelinks that you wish.
All of us here are looking forward to testing Sitelinks out and seeing how it actually works and what sort of results it can pull in!
