Through a combination of tried and tested eCommerce strategies, we helped turn gloveglu’s PPC campaigns from a money-losing own goal to eCommerce champions.

Who are gloveglu?
Founded in 2012, gloveglu is the world’s leading goalkeeper glove care brand. Its main product, an innovative spray solution, solves a critical problem faced by goalkeepers at all levels of the game by enhancing the grip and durability of their gloves.
Following a period of diminishing returns with their previous agency, gloveglu’s founder and director Paul Sherratt approached Digital Gearbox, tasking us with kicking off a new and better era for their Google and Meta Ads campaigns with a return on investment target of 4x.
What did we do?
Our initial focus was improving performance on Google. We began by consolidating gloveglu’s existing campaigns and implementing our tried and tested eCommerce 360 strategy: a combination of Search and Shopping campaigns to drive initial awareness and traffic from engaged potential shoppers, followed up with product-driven Retargeting to encourage unconverted previous visitors and, more importantly, cart abandoners. This remarketing tactic was also employed to position gloveglu’s range of products in front of those who had previously bought with the goal of turning a single transaction into a passionate brand advocate.
With time and success, we later incorporated Performance Max, leveraging Google’s machine learning and multi-channel ad placement. Doing so boosted results further, with the brand now even better positioned across Google’s suite of platforms including YouTube, Gmail, and mobile apps.
We then grew the activity to include campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, targeting gloveglu’s well-defined audience using Meta’s advanced audience builder. As with Google we also targeted existing customers and past visitors as identified by the pre-installed pixel tracker.
What were the results?
Our campaigns were a success across the pitch. Initially tasked with a 4x ROAS, we quickly smashed that goal, with our Google campaigns achieving a high of 10x ROAS.
Meta proved equally as successful, with campaigns deployed on Facebook and Instagram achieving ROAS highs of 6x.
